When a few boxes of Mirabelle plums appeared at the markets, we simply couldn't resist turning them into preserves.
The Mirabelle Plum is usually only found in the Lorraine region of France. These delicate and tiny, pale green plums - barely an inch across - are sweet and full of flavor, like plum candy.
